Daily water requirements vary widely from person to person based on many factors. But as a general rule, your urine should be clear at least once a day. Don’t let thirst dictate your water intake. Once you are thirsty, you are already dehydrated. I drink a glass of water first thing in the morning to ensure I stay hydrated. I find this to be a good safety net to protect me from dehydration. I avoid drinking water just before bed, so the need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night doesn’t interrupt my sleep.
